The Police Reserve Officer Program is a group
of volunteer police officers that dedicate their time and
talent to serve the community through work as police
officers with Ardmore Police Department. The Reserve Officer
Program operates under high standards and expectations
requiring Reserve Police Officers to maintain the same
number of continued education training as full-time police
officers. The Reserve Officer Program, under the direction
of Administrative Services Division Manager Charles Carman,
delivers a voluntary force that assists in special events as
well as police patrol work. The Reserve Officer Program’s
goal is to provide a professional and accountable reserve
force to the citizens of Ardmore.
Being a reserve officer is demanding and
challenging, but rewarding and exciting at the same time.
